Three questions, three answers: Timo Rumpfkeil

Timo Rumpfkeil and his team Motopark have been one of the leading teams in world-class junior racing for many years. The squad, based at the gates of the Oschersleben race track, who finished second in the predecessor series of the Formula European Master last year with Daniel Ticktum, now wants to win the title in the Formula European Masters. To achieve this goal, team boss Rumpfkeil has already signed two drivers with the two Red Bull juniors Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson.

Why is the Formula European Masters an important series for young drivers?

“The series uses by far the best vehicle in which drivers learn everything they need in their careers. It’s also the junior racing series that gives participants the most driving time and most races, which I consider an extremely important aspect for the young starters. And finally, the talents can present themselves on the very important DTM platform and recommend themselves for higher tasks in front of the eyes of the most important automobile brands in Europe.”

Red Bull has great faith in your team. What is the reason for that from your point of view?

“It’s been a growing partnership since we had the first Red Bull Junior in our ranks in 2004. I think we work very well with talent and train them well, which is very important for the future career path. In addition, we always provide the best material for the drivers, which is another guarantee for the very good results of our drivers.”

What are your goals for 2019?

“My goals are always the same: Like every year, we want to win the series here as well.”

We wish you much success and say thank you to Timo.
